Hi,

I received mail from Microsoft asking us to manually apply update version 10.0.605.20012 or greater from LCS. They mentioned that this fix is for DMF. I have few clarification.

1) I have one Dev with version 10.0.14 and remaining ( Production, UAT and other dev's ) has version 10.0.13. Which version I need to apply the update ?

2) In LCS I could not able to locate this version in Shared Asset library. How to download this update ? I have pasted the screen shot of my shared asset library below.

Hi Manivannan,

10.0.605 is build number of 10.0.14 version, but 10.0.605.20012 is not sure what it is.

You can contact Microsoft to get more information about it, or share a DMF related problem you encountered, maybe it is a BUG, you can check these bugs about 10.0.14:

Hi Manivannan,

There was a bug found in the GA release of 10.0.14. Microsoft stopped the roll-out and now announced that there is a new quality update.

You can find more details here: fix.lcs.dynamics.com/.../Details

The availability of the quality update should be available soon. Also Microsoft is working on unblocking production environments to be updated to 10.0.14

Hi Manivannan,

As Andre mentioned there was an issue with the execution ID parameter when doing DMF batch exports.

Recent update from Microsoft:

Critical Update 10.0.14 available

A critical issue was identified in version 10.0.14 which impacted exporting using the data management framework (DMF). A fix for this issue is available for download in LCS beginning November 14, 2020. The build number for this fix is 10.0.605.20012.

Hi Manivannan,

I applied the fix yesterday and it's a part of the quality update package, you can download it from the environment information page if you press "View update" button on the quality update tile.

You can't apply individual updates, they are always cumulative. So when you apply this update, it will always contain all previously released hotfixes, too.

Or, to be more precise, there are Service updates and Quality updates which are a bit different. But each type is still cumulative. Quality update contains all hotfixes for the current release (such as 10.0.14). Service update contains also new features and updates the version (for example from10.0.14 to 10.0.15) of the system.

Thank you for your explanation.

To install only the KB, i save it to asset library of the project. then when i check the size of this KB i see 5 Gb.

=> Is it normal the have this big file? Normally only one KB the size should be 10 mega bites
