Remove a connection to Unfollow a Record in CRM

We have a custom entity named "Opportunity Pursuit Team" and its related to the Opportunity Entity. It's a section tab in Opportunity entity. Every time we add a user to the Opportunity Pursuit Team, the Opportunity will automatically be FOLLOWED by the user being added.

I created a plugin that removes auto-unfollowing when new Opportunity (Connection) is being created and it's working.

I tried doing another plugin that do the same thing (Auto-unfollowing Opportunity record) when user is being added as Opportunity Pursuit Team (Custom Entity) and its not working.

We are thinking it's a CRM Standard somehow.

Can anyone verify? Thank you!
