Deleting old GP users

I would like to know if there are any 'best practices' around this.

We are looking at cleaning up our GP accounts, removing former employees or users who shouldn't be using the system any more. Is there anything we need to look out for, or should we be safe removing them?

You're safe removing them; there are no gotcha's that I can think of

As long as you delete the user from GP rather than SQL server, it is quite safe and there have been no negative ramifications mentioned before on this issue.

The only thing that you may need to concern about is linking posted transaction and activity to the deleted users, tracking user activity might be a big concern.

OK....here is the gotcha. If you delete user SUSAN because she left and later hire a SUSAN, when you create the new user SUSAN, she will inherit the menus of the old SUSAN. Not a big issue.
