Pop-up notifications on Email Engagement activities

Hi all

Is there any way we can get pop up notifications when someone reads a "followed" email? I can't see a way to get that at the moment, though I can see the status in Dynamics.

I'm after a plugin, service or windows app that will show a notification outside of Dynamics. If it could work on a mobile that would be awesome.
