    Hi Katana,

that's a nice one :) Please check if you have set posting groups on the F/X gains/losses accounts in the G/L. These accounts shouldn't have any posting groups set. It could also be the unrealized accounts, but I'm not sure on this. The issue here is that the batch (Report 595 "Adjust Exchange Rates") validates the G/L accounts. In this case (system-created gen. journal) the posting groups will be copied. As long as these are incomplete, the error message will be generated. If they are complete, you will post F/X adjustments with VAT - that is really bad then. There is no reversal for F/X adjustments.

    Hi Katana,

you can download a fixed W1 version of the Adjust Exchange Rates batch for NAV2013R2 here. This should ignore any posting type or posting group settings on the F/X gains/losses accounts. Although, they shouldn't have these anyway.

    Hi Katana,

did you recompile the object after importing? Looks like it's compiled with a different version. If this doesn't work, try the import of the text file, and compile this. And, a word of caution: You should try this with a copy of the live database. :)

    Hi Katana,

NAV at its best... question: What's the Cumulative Update Level of your NAV? Looks like RTM from your screenshots. In this case, please port the one line change that is in the .txt file to your Report 595 objects, and that should be it. The objects you downloaded were for CU17, and compiled on CU22.

    Hi Sir Jens,

Is it version compatibility? I am not so technical person and I can't clearly understand your terms. May I know what is the difference of CU17 & CU22? As per my understanding, it comes from different version. What did specify posting groups on the Unrealized & Realized Exchange Rate account but still same error occurs.

What I am wondering too is that, our client was able to run the adjust exchange rate until Sept. 30, 2015. The error only appears on next closing period, Oct. 31, 2015. This is the first time we encounter this such error so we are not familiar on what we are going to do as resolution.

Thank you in Advance & Happy Holidays!
