Hi,
When activated, you can not post transactions if that specific dimension is not balanced. I had used that functionality for one case that I use the dimension of company dimension activated. For some legal purpose there were two companies that is reported as different ledgers but should be created as a one company in Dynamics.
Hi Nikhil,
Replenish:
This functionality is typically used in the public sector customer base because it requires that posting definitions be used to automatically balance each transaction. It doesn't use the interunit debit and credit accounts that are defined on the Accounts for automatic transactions page to automatically balance the accounting entries.
In addition, the similar question and discussions are found for you, you can browse for more explanations.
Hope it will be useful!

Hi Nikhil,
The feature initially got introduced as part of efforts to support public sector requirements. In case you have e.g. business unit to be able to have an own balance sheet and P&L, this feature ensures the proper posting by adding an additional validation for having a specific dimension in balance.

If this is enabled, the debit and credit always has to balance per financial dimension and the system will not allow posting if the transactions do not balance per financial dimension. I think it would be different depending on the dimension and the accounting requirements.
