"DINotificationPlugin" ...AccountUpdate, ...ContactUpdate, ...LeadUpdate

Hi,

We've just discovered some kind of plugin or setting is creating masses of "System Events" (approx 1,500 per hour!!) and we can't work out what it is or where it's coming from.

The system events names are:

  • DINotificationPluginAccountUpdate

  • DINotificationPluginContactUpdate

  • DINotificationPluginLeadUpdate

There is not much other information available in the record. It appears to run on any update an account, contact or lead. DI means nothing to us, we're also not aware of any "notification plugin" which is installed.

Has anyone seen this before? Have any idea what's causing it? Have any idea how we can get to the bottom of it?

We're on Dynamics online (so no access to the database)

    the name doesn't look out of the box plugins.

    Did you install a 3rd party solution that may resemble this DI Notification names?

    Otherwise the only way is to connect Plugin Registration Tool and see if there is some info on the publisher/installation date

    Thanks Guido, That really helped!

    I found the plugin registration tool is available on XRMToolbox and although I'm not savvy enough to know what to do with it, it gave me all the info I needed. It's coming from a plugin we recently stopped using ("InsideView" now called "Demandbase" - named only so others don't need to search if they see the same vague "DINotificationPluginAccountUpdate" message):
