Hi All,

Recently I was testing free text invoice workflow under the AR module. Afer submit the free text invoice, I was hitting the following error.

Stopped (error): X++ Exception: Worker ID not set or record not found for %1, %2. Verify that the extended data type matches, and that the worker exists.

at SysWorkflowHierarchyProvider-resolve
SysWorkflowHierarchyProvider-resolveHierarchy
SysWorkflowQueue-resume

In the workflow, the assignment was used Hierarchy Type and the Start From was set to Workflow originator. The user who submit the free text invoice was the system admin. I can't figured out which part went wrong. I had check the hierarchy of position it looks correct. What could be the possible issue here?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Regards,
Teh

    Hi Ya Teh,

If the hierarchy provider is used, AX uses the position hierarchy to find the manager of the submitter. Can you verify if this admin user has a manager according to the position hierarchy?

    Hi Andre,

Thanks for reply. Yes, there is manager for the worker.

Above diagram is from Position Hierarchy. Tim Litton is the admin and reporting to Charlie Carson.

Check if these workers are linked to users.

    Hi Ya Teh,

Can you check if Tim has multiple employments/positions? Workflow will use the primary. Do you also have a screenshot how you did the setup in  the workflow?

    Hi Andre,

I had search the position hierarchy by Tim Litton name, so far I only found 1 position assigned to Tim.

Below is some screen shoot for my workflow.

If you don't see anything wrong, consider asking a develop to debug the code for you.

    Hi Ya Teh,

Can you try to set the condition for the manager level on value '1'.

I assume the user Tim did submit the workflow, right?

    Hi Andre,

It looks ok after change the manager level to 1. I will test again with another user which have more reporting manager.

    Thanks again for your advice.
