Fixed Plan not available for assignment

Hello, 

I'm having some difficulties assigning a fixed plan to a worker and is driving me crazy

I did all the steps required, and everything is configured correctly (levels, reference points, compensation grids, pay rate conversions, fixed compensation actions, fixed compensation plans, and eligibility rules) but when I try to assign it to a worker the plan field is not available. Is grey and I can´t select it. See the image below.

I also realize that all the levels I added to the system are not available from the dropdown.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

    Hi Ana,

    The Plan lookup is filtered to show only the plans that the employee is eligible for based on the Eligibility rulesYou may check the eligibility rules and options in the following link:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../hr-benefits-setup-eligibility-rules

    Thank you, Judy.

    The link you sent is for Benefits Management and not Compensation Management, I can´t find any for CM.

    I think my eligibility rules are ok, I only set 1 per fixed plan and the only fields I completed are:

    - Effective date

    - Expiration date

    - Compensation plan type

    - Compensation plan

    Did you have this issue in the past? Can you give me some advice?

    Please update the level in the employee job then you are able to update the compensation against level.

    Hi Ana,

    Option 1: Please add the job compensation level as per the below screenshot.

    Once you added the level then you can see data like below.

    Option 2: The plan field is disabled because the date entered on the Period - effective date is not valid.

    Now, try to change the effective date. You see Plan dropdown is enabled with values.

    Also check the 'manage changes' timeline of the position, is the job assigned to the position in the time period you are trying to create the compensation record? If not, then change the effective date of the position details in 'manage changes' so that the job is showing in the time period you want to create the comp record.

    I don´t get it, something is wrong.

    The job has compensation assigned, the position is created on 1/1/2021 and available for assignment the same day.

    The employee was hired on 1/2/2021 and assigned to the position the same day.

    When trying to assign the fixed plan still grey and unable to assign it.

    What is wrong?

    This thread is quite old but here is my take.

    I had the same issue and I would recommend checking the following:

    Confirm what the "Effective" date on the position record is. This can be done by clicking on the Changes timeline > Manage changes

    After I removed previous records and added a new one with the updated date, everything showed up without issues.
