Item Creation

Hai every one.

I am a new user of NAV, we are one of the furniture company and every day we have to create several codes

for standard purchase and even for assembly too. And if for a project then there could be 100-1000 items

Is there any shortcut for doing that?

Like if i could make all the entries in an excel file and directly upload ( earlier i was using SAP and that having such option ) do NAV have any such option?

Can any one guide me if so?

Thanks

Sumesh

You can use Rapid Start Services to create items. Please check the below link

Check the feature of NAV i.e. RapidStart where you can define templates and import the items.

Either you can go with Configuration Package OR else you can write a one time process which will do the import process. Just to let you know you can too copy paste from Excel to NAV Tables.
