Requested ship date column in SOP10200 getting updated randomly with random date

Hi,

We are seeing a very strange problem as the reqshipdate column in SOP10200 table is getting updated with a random date. This is happening on random times and none of our existing jobs are doing any update on this table. This happened few times recently and all SOPTYPE's are affected by this.

Any help to give a clue in this kind of scenario would be appreciated. We are checking all SQL logs but none of them are giving any ideas.

Thanks

The value is being changed unexpectedly.

We thought about the SQL profiler option. But due to the unexpected nature of the problem, this will be a heavy log to manage.

Shadow table seems to be a better option. I am contacting support for that script.

    Thanks

    Hello Ajit,

Do you mean the value is changing unexpectedly, or that they are being created with an incorrect value to begin with?

Above makes it sounds like they are changing unexpectedly. these can be a bit tricky to track down without putting in place a shadow table (Microsoft GP support can send you a script to create the shadow table). Another alternative would be to put in place a SQL profiler trace with statement level tracing and a filter set to "textdata contains SOP10200" (This would be a heavy log that could cause some performance issues so ideally you would be able to narrow down when the issue is happening first and it sounds like there's not a known pattern to when it is occurring).
