Creating automatic Remittance for Vendor AP Payments

Hey There - 

I see some related question, but am having a hard time focusing on one answer.  We are attempting to deploy automatic remittance emails to vendors for Accounts Payable in AX 2012 R2.  Is there an easy way to do this going forward?

    Hi pecoradj,

    If I understand your question correctly then you want to send an email with an attached remittance advice to your vendor once a payment is made, right?

    To my knowledge this was not supported in the 'old' AX2012 R2. As a result some coding would be required to achieve this.

    An alternative is migrating to D365FO - if this is an option - where you can do such things out of the box.

    Thanks Ludwig; D365 isn't an option currently.  I saw an old response from you related to creating templates which could then be emailed to a vendor upon payment.  Understanding that this can't be done automatically when posting a payment, I could potentially develop a script to pull these templates and email them to the vendor contact, correct?

    Right. The Word templates are an option. Not perfect but possibly feasible with the smallest amount of effort.
