Hide files tab

Hello - I use JS to hide some tabs based on the value of a field within my Accounts entity. I'd like to hide the Files tab if there are no files on the related Document Location. Is this possible?

What I am trying to achieve is to avoid people checking the Files tab to see if there are any related files to inadvertently create the Sharepoint folder which isn't required. Any solutions anyone knows would be great.

Thanks

    Hi Chickyd,

Open default solution (There are multiple ways. You can create a solution. add a form. This is also one of the possible paths). Navigate to forms. Open the desired main form. Removed document as shown in the image below.

Add documents grid by following the link: Add the Documents tab to the main form for a table - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn. Add it in a section or tab. You need to put the column in the section or in the tab. Hide a section or tab to prevent this creation of a record as per your logic.

If I answer your question then please mark it as verified.

Let me know if I can provide you with more details.

    Thanks

    Hi Chickyd,

Yes, you can use javascript to hide tab based on the value of a field:

    https://fredrikengseth.medium.com/how-to-hide-and-show-a-tab-in-dynamics-365-based-on-a-field-value-73eec4002da6

If you want to hide file tags based on the number of files, you can add one field to account entity and populate it with the number of files

you can refer to the following link to count files.
