We are currently migrating some bank information for review by customer. We need to delete one and are unable to. We DO NOT even have accounts tied to the ledger yet. The are no transactions (couldn't be) or dimension setups tied to this that should lock it permanently. The error itself isn't even valid give we don't have accounts mapped to the ledger:
There must be a way to remove this...
Thanks in advance,
DCTX
Thanks Shefali...mostly a lesson learned on my part. I have "parked" this account as inactive and if/when a new bank is needed, we'll update this particular record with that new information so as to utilize it. I have also learned that even though you do not assign a main account to the bank, a record is still created in the background that will prevent it deletion. So, be absolutely sure the bank ID getting created will be used as it becomes permanent in the system (and I strongly disagree with this logic).
Entity: Bank accounts
My suspicion is BankAccountID, but others used are:
Accountnumber
Addresscity
Addresscountry
Addresscountryisocode
Addressstate
BankgroupID
Contactfaxnumber
Contactinternetaddress
Contactphonenumber
ContactSMS
Contacttelexnumber
CurrencyCode
ESR
IBAN
Name
Rountingnumber
Routingnumbertype
SwiftCode
Alireza,
Good suggestion but it did not work. We tried reimporting only those needed and set the flag to Truncate. The below is the error:
Okay, if that's the case, can you tell us the data entity used and the column populated while bringing in these data? Let's analyze to find out tables that are being affected and probably get the root of the error.
Hi DCTX,
Have you tried to delete this record via data entity import and truncate function?
Data entity. There were over 30 accounts brought over, of which the client no longer wishes to have several of these.
Was this created from the UI or brought in via Data entity? Your screenshot shows an empty Main account field and this is a mandatory field before you could save a bank account record.
Alizrea,
This bank account has no other association with any other entity/company. In one case, there are only three fields populated, Bank account, Name and currency. All other fields in all fast tabs are blank.
Do you have this bank account as a financial dimension in another company in the solution?
Like mentioned, I guess is better to check the issue with a developer to debugge the issue.
Then, I suggest to see a developer and check in which table it stored the value which is stopping you to delete.
Also, you can raise a ticket to Support team to investigate this issue.
