Hello Team,

Can anyone suggest me the solution for below error message which I get when I try to send the Sales Quote for approval(" Send Approval Request"). Inside NAV 2013 R2, I have complete SMTP mails setup process by providing server name, port, basic authentication, checked secure authentication check box but nothing is working.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Error - " The SMTP mail system returned the following error:" The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was 5.7.57 SMTP; Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM".

Thanks

Rishi

    Hi,

Did you provide the "User ID" and "Password" in the SMTP Mail Setup?

    Best Regards,

Is it while testing the connection on SMTP page or while sending the mail?

    Hello Mohana,

Error comes when you send approval request from Sales Quota page.

    Thanks

It seems that you have set email account abc@nav.com and trying to send from xyz@nav.com

    is that true?

I have done below setting, correct me if I am wrong..

In SMTP Mail setup window- I have input Admin person email ID who has complete authority over O365. e.g. Admin@nav.com

In Document approval setup- In email column, I have provided respective Salesperson Email ID. e.g. salesperson@nav.com

Both account do exist in O365 account.

Please let me know If I misunderstood your statement.

    Thanks for your help.
