Reassign records Question

Hi,

I need to reassign the Records of a few people in our company who have since left, I haven't done it yet. but I will do it by going to the Security menu, then selecting the User and Reassign records to another User.
Some of these users have thousands of records, one has over 50,000. I am just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice on this.
Am I liable to see Dynamics slowing down significantly during the process, or is it likely to crash because of the number of calls it creates. Anything else I need to be aware of?

Thanks a lot,
Ted

Reassigning 50,000+ records in Dynamics 365 can cause performance slowdowns and trigger all onAssign/update plugins, workflows, and audit logs. It's safe but can be resource-intensive.
    Recommendations:
    • Run after hours to avoid impact.
    • Disable non-critical plugins/flows temporarily.
    • Monitor under System Jobs.
    • Optionally, use Advanced Find or XrmToolBox to reassign in smaller batches per entity.
Avoid doing it during business hours to prevent system lag or failures.

    You should consider:
    1. Performance Impact: Expect temporary slowdowns during the process, but it shouldn’t crash unless there’s an issue with system capacity.
    2. Bulk Record Reassign: Use the Bulk Record Reassign feature in Data Management for better efficiency.
    3. System Load: Monitor system performance during the reassignment. Perform this task during off-peak hours if possible to minimize impact on other users.
    4. Testing: Test with smaller batches first to gauge system performance.
    5. Backup: Always back up data before starting bulk updates.
