Where can I download kernel version KB of AX2012 R2 which is not the latest?

For upgrading from AX2012 R2 to Dynamics 365, I need to setup AX2012 exact same environment (same kernel version) as our customer's one.

They are using AX2012 R2 with kernel version 6.2.3000.3xxx, while the latest kernel version of R2 is 6.2.3000.5659.

My understanding is, MS only provides the latest kernel version KB in this page.

How can I setup AX2012 or where can I get kernel version KB for 6.2.3000.3xxx?

Any comment or reference would be appreciated.

    Hi Mai.S,

    First of all you don't need same kernel version. Upgrade process works with code and data only and has nothing to do with a kernel. To install same version that you have you need to know KB number, but it is not available for download anymore because R2 is out of support. If you want to have exact same version, you can duplicate VM or virtualize actual server.

    You could request it from Microsoft by creating a support request.

    In general you should store all hotfixes that you install in your environment, so that you can easily add or reinstall new components with the same hotfix level than the existing ones.

    Thank you for your prompt support.

    Since we've decided to upgrade with .axmodelstore, we need both AX with exact same kernel version.

    So what I should do is request to Microsoft or receive all the hotfixes file from our customer.
