Error occur while open report in Visual studio 2013

Hi,

When I open report layout in Visual studio it generates following error.

Unsupported
This version of Visual Studio does not have the following project types installed or does not support them. You can still open these projects in the version of Visual Studio in which they were originally created.
- ReportLayout, "C:\Users\johnadaikalasamy\AppData\Local\Temp\Microsoft Dynamics Nav Designer\768\Report99999(0)\ReportLayout"


No changes required
These projects can be opened in this version of Visual Studio without changing them. They will continue to open in Visual Studio 2010 SP1 and in this version of Visual Studio.
- ReportLayout99999, "C:\Users\johnadaikalasamy\AppData\Local\Temp\Microsoft Dynamics Nav Designer\768\Report99999(0)\ReportLayout\ReportLayout99999.sln"

How to remove this error or what project type I have to install.

    Done in sense I changed layout to Report Builder. Because NAV 2103R2 opens in visual studio 2012 and I have got both versions installed but ultimate one is VS 2013. Any development environment does not open in 2013. I checked for the hotfix in website but it takes me to the partner source platform.

    Uninstall all the Visual Studio components and install it from the scratch. Most probably it will solve your problem.

    But why does my RDLC opens in visual studio 2012 shell. Is there anyway to bind Microsoft Dynamics Nav with Shell 2010 instead of 2012.

    Also when I opt to install 2012 shell with Redistributable package then windows compatibility issues comes in.

    So by removing and installing fresh copy will it works

    Simple, clean wipe the Visual studio and fresh install Visual Studio 2010. It will work.

    Hi Archer,

    I have visual studio ultimate 2013 also I installed visual studio 2010 shell packs.

    Also when we update visual studio 2012 remains inside the machine

    I believe error is due to the nav connects to 2012 shell which has missing reporting components.

    So I had to install 2012 shell reporting components too.
