Hallo together,

I want to install zetadocs express on my computer (For NAV 2009 R2)

If I try to run setup.exe, I get the following Error:

„Zur Fortsetzung dieser Installation muss Microsoft Dynamics NAV R2 installiert werden“.

I have installed different Versions of NAV on my PC, 4.0, 5.1, 2009 R1 and also 2009 R2, what can I do ?

    Hello Peter,

Two locations in registry that are looked at:

    For version: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\DynamicsNav60

    For path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.exe

    Hello Peter,

Zetadocs Express can only be used with NAV 2009 R2 Role Tailored Client.

During the installation process, Zetadocs will check in the registry to ensure the above NAV version is installed.

    Kind regards,

NAV 2009 does not allow for side by side installations, so I assume you manually installed one of the versions. The easiest thing to do would be to uninstall all the versions and then install NAV 2009 R2 which would update the registry. I am not sure what Zetadocs is specifically looking at, but there could be two different things. Either the version in the SQL database for NAV in the $ndo$dbproperty table, or they are checking the registry default location information. Make sure you are pointing to the correct database, and if you are, then was NAV 2009R2 the installer you used to install NAV, or did you do that version manually? There is a key:   hklm:\SOFTWARE\Classes\DYNAMICSNAV\Shell\Open\Command  which points to the default install, but again, I am not positive what Zetadocs is checking, so you could look at that also, or just uninstall NAV 2009 SP1 and R2 and reinstall NAV 2009 R2 which should then take care of the issue which also would be equal to installing NAV 2009SP1 and then updating to R2 via the executables, and recompiling all the objects.

    Nick
