Changing serial numbers

I am new to this forum so hopefully asking this in the right place

We are moving our ERP to Dynamics F&O with call center and POS and are in the UAT phase of the migration. We sell musical instruments that a lot of them have serial numbers that we track. I am trying to test changing a serial number that has been entered incorrectly on a product but can't seem to find how to do this.

Any help would be truly appreciated!

Have you done any transaction yet with this product ?

You can actually use the transfer journal to update the serial number.

If you have enabled serial numbers in the sales, you can change directly serial number in packing slips if the invoice is not posted.

If is posted, you need to change serial number in Transfer journal

Transfer journal allows to transfer from a tracking dimensions ( serial ) to another.
