I wonder if it's possible somehow to import an XML file to Dynamics 365 for sales (Online version?
It's an XML file containing financial data from a partner company. We want the data to go opportunity records that contains the same account number as those in the XML file.
I am quite new to XML files. I know it's a quite different structure from the CSV or Excel files you normally import to Dynamics. The XML data appears to be in a tree like structure and not rows such as in the Exceö-files we have imported before.

by the standard import functionality you will need to convert this file to an excel file first.
Otherwise you will need to write some custom code to import the xml directly
