Hi F&O Family
With regards t creating new paginated reports to be launched within D365 F&O is it better to use Power BI's paginated report feature or SSRS. (I know bother create rdl's)
Is it possible to embed and launch the power BI paginated reports from within F&O
Hi Splat01,
Have you already check MS docs about reporting options (where and how to use)?
docs.microsoft.com/.../information-access-reporting
Thank you for the link it is most useful.
My problem however lies in the fact that a developer resource is needed for Business Documents.
Is there not a way for a consultant to create Business documents without relying on a developer?
In the article Business documents = SSRS reports (because there is also CBD = configuration business document feature on top of ER available). Yes, it will require developers in most cases. Of course, you can teach consultants how to make reports, but it will take some time and they will have a lot of questions for developers.
If you want to design reports only by consultants you have definitely take a look at ER or PowerBI (depends on the need).
Thank you Sergei
I need to explore this further "because there is also CBD = configuration business document feature on top of ER available"
Thank you so much for your input - much appreciated!
Thank you very much
