D365 PCF Control Fluent ui Text field long press not working

In D365 PCF Control, when I am using the Fluent UI Text field and I assign a value property to it with the input property (bound), that field does not respond in long press, like if I press the 'a' button for a long time, it will show a character only once. The same goes with backspace.
