CALCULATE SALES TAX ON SUBTOTAL

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by

There has to be way to have sales orders/invoices calculate sales tax on the sub-total and not line by line.  Even if it's coding option.  Florida sales tax is discretionary sales tax (ex:7%) on the first $5,000 & then 6% (state%) on anything over that.  So, calculating sales tax doesn't work right when it's doing it line by line.  Can anyone please help me asap?  I think this is my last hurdle w/ Nav.

Thank you!

Tara

    Hi Tara,

    Seems like a customization.

Suggestion from my side is, to compare the subtotal with the limit (Like in your example it is $5000) and then assign Tax Group/Area Codes accordingly.

So as per my solution, once your subtotal exceeds your limit the Tax Group/Area Codes takes a new value as you assigned in setups.

P.s. In setups, you should be able to assign your limits, and the corresponding Tax Group/Area Code values.

Please let us know if this works.
