"Linking" multiple leads or opportunities

Hi, all--

We sometimes have multiple leads and/or opportunities from the same source and while the leads or opportunities are distinct, the activities regarding them may be shared (meetings, phone calls, emails, etc).

Is there a way to link activities between multiple lead or opportunity records simply?   In version 2011, one could look up existing activities for another record but it was cumbersome and you could only look up by subject or description, not by associated records.

Thanks!

It maybe possible using connections.  Connections allows you to link non related records.

    and a youtube video

The other option that I could see is to perhaps create a workflow to copy the values of an activity and then you could save the regarding against a different entity

Thanks for your response.  I realize that the way I worded my question was not clear.   We have upgraded to CRM 2013 so I would be interested in a solution for that CRM version.

Would your general answer be the same?  I don't see connections in 2013.  The workflow may be a possible solution.

    Thanks.

Would you have any links that would demonstrate the workflow solution for this situation for CRM 2013?

    Thanks!

    Hello

Connections are in CRM 2013 and work exactly the same, so the links I sent you will still be valid

    To find connections go to

Settings --> Business Management --> Connection Roles
