Hey guys,

Anyone worked around a solution to prevent Excel Protected View for files opening from D365 F&O? It adds unnecessary clicks and delays with Open in Excel files.

Prevent Excel Protected View for files opening from D365 F&O

You can add the folder where your D365 F&O files are stored to Excel's Trusted Locations. In Excel, go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations, and then add the folder path. And ensure that macros are enabled in Excel. Sometimes, Protected View is triggered by the presence of macros. Go to Excel Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Macro Settings, and select "Enable all macros." Follow My Health Portal
