Hello,

I have an requirement which requires more than one manager to manage a territory, but out of the box it does seem to be possible. Is there a way around this problem?

    Hi Partner

As far as I know, this is not possible, we can only have one manager per territory.

    Hey,

Well, If you have a requirement where more than one manager needs to manage a territory in your CRM system, and the out-of-the-box functionality does not support this, there are a few potential approaches you can consider:

Customization: Depending on the CRM system you are using, you may be able to customize the territory management functionality to accommodate multiple managers for a territory. This could involve extending the data model, creating custom relationships, or implementing custom business logic to handle the assignment and management of multiple managers for a territory.

Team-Based Approach: Instead of assigning territories to individual managers, you can create teams or groups within your CRM system that represent the territory management units. Multiple managers can be assigned to these teams, allowing them to collaborate and collectively manage the territories. By using team-based security and access controls, you can ensure that team members have appropriate permissions and visibility within their assigned territories.

Hierarchy or Approval Processes: Another approach is to introduce a hierarchical structure or approval processes for territory management. This means that when multiple managers need to collaborate on a territory, they can follow an approval workflow or hierarchy to coordinate their activities. This could involve setting up approval processes for territory changes or implementing rules for escalations and handoffs between managers.

Third-Party Extensions: Depending on the CRM system you are using, there might be third-party extensions or add-ons available that provide enhanced territory management capabilities. These extensions may offer features specifically designed for managing territories with multiple managers or provide more flexibility in configuring territory management rules.

It's important to assess the specific requirements and constraints of your organization and evaluate the available options within your CRM system. You may need to involve CRM administrators, developers, or CRM solution providers to determine the most suitable approach and explore any necessary customizations or extensions to fulfill your requirement of having multiple managers for a territory.

Just have a look at this plugin! This plugin might help you to solve your problem.

    I hope this helps!
