PTE Navigation Expense Reports after Approval

Hi,

We are testing a workflow in Dynamics GP 2018 (18.4.1361) where three level of steps are defined.

In first step, after submission of expense report workflow route that expense to our accounts teams for validation. and after proper scrutiny, they approve that expense.

In second step that approved expense routed to originator employee direct manager/ project manager, based on conditions, and they approve that expense after their review.

In third step, the expense route to our internal audit department, where they do post audit of all transaction, and after proper vouching/ verification they also approve that expense.

However, the problem we are facing is, after approval of expense reports by accounts/ employee direct manager   (in step one and two), they can still see the approved expenses, which they have been checked, reviewed/ approved and until that expense final approved in 3rd step by auditors. is there a way to see only those expenses, which required only their approval.

    Hi Irfan,

    I am seeing that in my testing as well, where the transaction will show until it is final approved, since I am one of the approvers, I will see it in the list until the status shows as final approved. This functions the same way in other workflows as well when you are viewing from the Pending Approval navigation list.

    Hello Cheryl,

    No the users involve in the workflow are not assigned as workflow managers.

    earlier, we were not seen any expenses under this menu, which I have already discussed over the forum, as per this link  https://community.dynamics.com/gp/f/microsoft-dynamics-gp-forum/449899/pte-navigation 

    This issue was fixed using Microsoft support, by entering name of approver in the delegation window. As per their support it is a bug, which may be fixed in coming releases.

    (Cards > Payroll > Employee > Project > Expense Reports > PTE Employee Expense Setup Window)

    Now the issue is, all these approvers can view expenses, until they are final approved. Ideally, the approver can view only the expenses which are under pending approval to him as per workflow step.

    Hello,

    Is the user also a workflow manager?  Typically if you can see the workflow that is assigned to someone else, you are a workflow manager and can also approve it.

    (I don't have AP installed, but in my GL batch workflow I also have a column showing what user the workflow is waiting on.  I don't see that in your list.  I see your column has an ellipsis.  If you drag the column for STATUS to the right, does it show more information?
