Organization email template html upload issue with special characters

In D365 Finance, when uploading HTML for an email template with special characters like this...

...the HTML is rendering with <?> in each place where these special characters exist:

What is strange is that this same HTML was used in AX2012 and upgraded fine (without the <?>'s). It is only when loading the same html into D365 does this issue happen.

Any tips? I did not find any known issues in LCS.

HI

Usually in html when you have a special character it is better to specify the meta tags in the html header.

Try to add this to the header of the html

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
