Event-Portal and other functionalities

Hi,

I got a question regarding the Event-Portal.

Is it possible to add other functionalities to the Event-Portal e.g a customer self-service. Basically we want to evaluate the capabilities of creating ONE portal instead of two different, so users can freely navigate between the Event-Portal and e.g the customer self-service.

If anyone did manage to gather experience regarding this topic I am more then glad hearing about.

You can even use PortalXpand for the same.  It allows you to add user roles and define access rules for each. .

    Hi,

The list of cases can be achieved by creating entity list.

Here is the documentation about it:

Add a webpage to render a list of records on a portal - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs

Knowledge Articles can be listed or submitted in the same way as cases theoretically.

However, it will not certainly perform as well as the template in the Customer Self-Service Portal.

You can try to apply a ready-made template to your Event Portal.

    Best Regards,

    Nya

    Thanks Nya,

for your useful answer.  So if I can add an entity form e.g. case submission, is it possible to add a case view/list there too and e.g. a Knowledge Article submission and view?

    Best Regards

    Hi,

First of all, they are two different types so they cannot be integrated with each other in its original form. Even their logins are different, the Customer Self-service Portal has a way to log in with an Azure AD account, while the Event Portal does not.

However, if you just want to integrate, for example, some of the functions of the Customer Self-service Portal into the Event Portal, it is feasible.

You can customize the Event Portal directly through the Portal Management Application or Power Apps.

For example, integrating the case submissions to the Event Portal, it can be achieved by insert an entity form into the portal.

Define entity forms - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

    Nya
