A long time to start the AOS(2012 R3) services

I installed the Dynamics AX 2012 R3 Solution Demos by VHD (NOT HYPER) on my Laptop.

The OS is WIndows Server 2012 R2.  The Spec of my Laptop is

CPU: Intel Core(TM) i5-3210M @ 2.5GHZ (4CPU)

Memory: 16GB

Page File: 12GB

First I only had 8GB memory, It was too slow to run the AOS, so I upgrade the memory to 16GB,

It becomes fast to run AOS, but still take too long to start the service of AOS

( about 5-10 Minutes, almost take the same time with 8GB memory)

It takes about 9GB when the AOS services is running and I don't install any other Apps.

I've already clear the client records of SysClientSession table but it doesn't change.

And i notice the process below takes too many cpu percentage at the starting of AOS service.

1. Microsoft sharepoint time service  40%

the process below takes too many memory

1. Microsoft sharepoint Search Component  (4 processes about 2GB)

Anyone has ideas to solve the problem i'll very appreciate it.

Thanks at first.

The solution demo is a heavy VM. It runs AX, Sharepoint, various portals, SQL DB, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, POS and some other stuff.

I run the VM with all bells & whistles but I do this on a 4.8 GHZ core i5 with 24 GB ram and the VHD on a SSD. For presentations I use a heavy Azure machine with 64gb. Don't expect this runnin stellar on a laptop. By killing some functions the performance might be OK.

For my laptop I enter every service I don't need in a .bat script like this. Makes killing unnessecary stuff quick and easy: (this kills pretty much everything except AX AOS, SQL and reporting.)

    Thanks for your reply.

Maybe I need to install the AOS server rather than use the VM
