NAV2015 and Remote App Server 2008

Hi All

My application team have been rolling out NAV 2015 for Thailand and I have set up NAV2015 as a remote app in the TS server 2008 for the users to connect to. Initially when the users connect to NAV 2015 via remote app, they were able to key in Thai font character into the NAV, but recently they couldn't do that at all. I have try all methods by setting the TS server language setting and key board setting to for Thai only, even try to use the key sequence (left Alt+shift to change the keyboard language input but I realize when you are connected to NAV 2015 via remote app, that key sequence doesn't work. Web access for NAV 2015 has no issue.

Just to be sure I created a Microsoft Word remote app in the TS server and connected to it. I was actually able to toggle the language input and key in Thai. So that this mean that NAV2015 cannot be setup as a remote app? Can anyone advice what did I missed out? Thank

Have you checked Using Remote Desktop (instead of remote App)?

    Ideally, it should work.

Try do the following: Install the Thai language on the remote app server and make the language bar floating; then, re-create profiles on terminal server to get this changes in place. Test the solution. Alternatively, re-install NAV; I suppose you had installed Word later and perchance now all new installations might not face this problem anymore.

If we were to use the Remote Desktop it will work. but we really want to publish it as an app. it will be so much easier than doing all the lockdown in GPO

    Hi

No, not really Microsoft Office and the NAV were installed together at the same time. I have uninstall and reinstall NAV. will update if this resolve the issue.

    Hi All

Thank you for the reply. we finally manage to resolved the issue. we found out it was due to a corrupt TS user profile so we delete that profile and have the user recreated it by login to the TS server. We set the language and keyboard setting and then re generate the RDP file for the remote app. That all it take
