Access unbound control in form datasource method CoC

Hi ,

My requirement is to create a custom unbound control on a standard form and based on the lookup selection on this unbound control form grid should be filtered.

I have created a unbound control in the form extension. Now I am unable to get the value selected in the unbound control in the CoC of the executequery
of the form datasource.

Can anyone help me on how to access the value of unbound control in the CoC of form datasource method

Normally you can retrieve values by ControlName.valueStr().

If you set the property "Auto declaration" to yes for control, it should be accessible through the element keyword.

element.MyControl.text(); //If it's string control

I was not seeing the intellisense on typing 'element.' But when I copy pasted it worked.

I personally prefer binding the control to an edit method if possible.
