If I select two main accounts and click on all transactions, why it shows me the detail of the second one only? Why can't it display transactions for both accounts?
If I select two main accounts and click on all transactions, why it shows me the detail of the second one only? Why can't it display transactions for both accounts?
This solved the issue.
Thank you all. This clarifies.
Hi Lopa Pattnaik,
One tricky observation I must say
As mentioned, you will see that your second selection is actually displaying the transactions and not the other one.
Let's say, I have selected two accounts here in the TB. "100100000" and "112700000". Out of these two accounts, the second one 112700000 is my last selection which I have marked.
Now if I click on 'All transactions', system validates only the last account selection which is 112700000 and not the other one which is 100100000.
Now let's try in reverse way where I select the account "112700000" first and then "100100000". So this time account 100100000 is my last account selection.
This time if I click on 'All transactions', system picks transactions for the last selection account "100100000".
Conclusion:-
1. System validates the last account selection in TB and only shows all transactions for that account irrespective of multiple account selection at the same time.
2. As per the standard logic, all transactions generation in TB is account basis. One account at a time. And this is how it is built and giving the result.
Alternatively; you can go for what Frank Hamelly suggested. If you are using version 10.0.30 then you will see 'Advanced filtering' tab.
Here you can set the main account range and click OK.
Accounting source explorer report will display all transactions for those selected accounts only.
Point to be noted: This "Advanced filtering" option will be added in this report once you enable this feature in Feature management.
Hope it clarifies!

How are you accessing the transactions? By clicking into one of the amount fields in the trial balance? If so, you're only going to get the details for a single account. It's standard behavior regardless of the number of rows in the trial balance you select. Accounting source explorer may be a better option for you.
Hi Ramit,
If that is the case, how to display transaction details for multiple accounts ?
Thanks.
Lopa
Are those transactions offering to total amount zero?
Thank you Ramit. So I picked two other main accounts that both have transactions during that period if I click separately. But it displays only one.
Hi,
TB report only shows if there is any transactions on that period, in your case if there is no transactions in the period you selected in the parameter, it wont show you
