Custom Event Website

Posted on by 20

Hello,

I am new to Dynamics and am having some difficulties in deploying a custom event website.

I followed the steps described in the documentation on the MS website, but I am not able to link the D365 marketing with the Power Apps Portal as host.

I actually have Dynamics Marketing (Trial version) and in power apps, I created a test environment and created a Portal to host the website. Is it possible to do this integration having the trial version of Marketing?

In the angular framework, I filled the 'apiEndpoint' with the binding I have in the Portal, but I don't know how to integrate it with the event to show the information. I also couldn't find the PortalAPI Web template to bypass the token.

Can someone help me, please?

    Hi,

Yes, you can host the events in your self-hosted website.

Please refer to the following link to know more about it:

Self-hosted custom event website (Dynamics 365 Marketing Developer Guide) | Microsoft Docs

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

Would it be possible to test the website locally? Like, for example, create a small server in node.js and create a web application with the "Origin" pointing to this address?

With this, would I be able to see my events?

    Thanks, Nya for the reply.

Could you tell me what this special mechanism would be? As I understand it, I could integrate D365 Marketing only with a self-hosted website, right?

    RE: Custom Event Website

    Hi,

Marketing trials can't be integrated with a Power Apps portal. Instead, they provide a special mechanism that lets you try out landing pages, forms, the event website, and other interactive features without requiring a Power Apps portal or external CMS system.

The above statement can be found in the following document:

Sign up for and install a free trial (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

    Nya
