Lot No. and Bin Contents

Hi all,

Can anyone explain why the following happens?

We currently have a process when Items are received into the building of rejecting and accepting certain quantities. When items are rejected they are automatically put away and registered. In this instance We want to change the Lot No. by +1. I've done this at the stage of codeunit 7313 CreateNewWhseActivity. For the remaining items which are stored in the Same Posted Whse. Receipt Line we want this lot No. to stay the same, so when they are put away and registered they will have the original, but different to the rejected quantites Lot No.

What factor does the Lot No. Have on the BIN Contents because when I change this Lot No, the Bin Contents gets the error that it doesn't exist, but it does.

I Understand filters will be whats changing it but why and any possible ideas to avoid this?

How Lot No is generated in system ? Is it customized or have you use default lot no generation ?

Did you check those BIN Contents values (Lot No) has been track by another ....?

i think your lot no has track by specific bin or in your bin having multiple values ?
