How to control what users get what form

Hi

We have some fields on the contact form that we dont want some people to see.

Currently the plan is that there will be two versions of the contact form - one showing the sensitive fields, one without.

We want some one group of users to get one form and the other only see the other version of the form.

Where is this controlled ?

I am assuming that we will need two security roles - but dont know where we control who gets to see which form.

Kind regards

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

You can control this by security role in the form itself

just see what the security role will show Form A and from this button in Form editor

you can put the security role that will see Form A and etc.

    Hi,

Hi, there’re two places to set it.

    First:

        1. In the new UI, navigate to the Table and click the contact entity and click the form you need control.

        2. Click the Forms setting button to select the security role. Save and publish it and publish this form.

    Second:

        1. Navigate to the Advanced settings -> Settings -> Customization->Customize the System, expand the entities.

        2. Find the Contact entity and click Forms, then select the form and click the Enable Security Roles button.

Though assigning the security roles will show the form with sensitive fields to selected users with corresponding security roles. This does not stop users from viewing the sensitive fields by using advanced find or reports etc.

You could explore Field Security files to see if it is a good fit for your requirement. it could hide the values in form, reports,  advanced find or api.
