Is it possible to re-run depreciation for target date of 12/31/14, now that the current year for my Book is 2015?

No. If you try, you'll get the 'If Target Date is prior to the Current Year for any Book, it must be the last day of the year' message and depreciation will not process. Why do you need to re-run depreciation?
Actually, Microsoft has confirmed this is a bug. If 2015 is the current year, the system should allow depreciation to 12/31/2014.

I am running into this as well. Did support give you a workaround or a version where this has been corrected? Thanks.
It is listed to be fixed in R2 for Dynamics GP 2015 which is scheduled to be released June 1st. There isn't any word if this is also going to be fixed for Dynamics GP 2013 R2 on the next release or not.
