Can D365 print product labels to a Zebra label printer?

I want to know if it's possible to print product labels from D365 F&O?  We currently print 4x6 labels on a Zebra label printer using Teklynx Labelview software. It would save a few steps and some integrations if we could print directly from D365.

I've looked in a few places to but can't find anything to confirm if this is possible or not (including Microsoft Learn)

Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so, where can I find instructions on how to set it up?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Peter,

Recently, in one of my end-to-end implementation projects for a chemical industry client, we successfully used the out-of-the-box Document Routing functionality in D365FO to print product labels.

I wanted to understand the specific use case or requirement for using Teklynx LabelView in this context, as D365FO already provides robust capabilities to print 4×6 product labels directly to Zebra printers without requiring third-party label software.

D365FO fully supports ZPL-based label printing using standard functionality such as:

    • Document Routing Framework (DRF)

    • Network / Label Printers

    • Electronic Reporting (ER)

    • Advanced Warehouse Management (WH/WMS)

    • Custom X++ with ZPL (if required)

Given these native capabilities, Teklynx LabelView may not be necessary unless there are very specific label design or compliance requirements.

I would appreciate your thoughts on the scenario where Teklynx is being considered.

We're actually using Teklynx since before we implemented D365, so my question is "how can we use D365 for labels so we can stop using Teklynx"?

Do you know where I can find a full set of instructions for setting up labels?

     Hi Peter,

When you want to print the labels? Do you want to print them for example during the receipt process?

    Best regards,

We actually want to print a large quantity at once and take them to the packaging line, where we apply them manually.  We usually print anywhere from 250 to 500 labels at once. Can Dynamics do that?  Same information on all labels, except it would be nice to have a sequential number for each label (like a serial number)

    Hi Peter,

As mentioned, it is possible to print labels from Dynamics 365 directly. Can you tell us what is the trigger and the source data for the serial number for printing 250-500 labels?
