Derived Financial dimensions button is not active for some dimensions

Hi Folks

The derived dimensions button is faint for some dimensions. I have added some ss below. Appreciate any help.

Hi Osman,

I think it is because that you have activated "Copy values to this dimension on each new Customers created." for this financial dimension. Since it is Entity-backed dimension you can not both activate copy values and derived dimensions.

Hi Osman,

I think that it by design that you can not add "Derived dimension" on Entity-backed dimension that have activated "Copy values to this dimension".

You can raise a support ticket to Microsoft to check it further.

Hi Alireza,

These two dimensions are entity backed, copy values to this dimension are unmarked for both, but derived dimensions work for one not for the other.

Hi Osman,

Thanks for the clarification.

I have repro the issue for just some entity backed dimensions (e.g. Bank, Customer, Vendor and Project) that they have mark for "Copy values". I suggest to raise a support ticket to Microsoft to get better assistance if it is by design.
