Import data using .DAT file.

Hi,

How can I import data using .dat file in AX.

Also when I try to import the .dat file using AX client (System Admin-> Common-> Data Export/Import)

it shows following error:

"Can import data only from version 6.0. Describe data EXPFORMAT VER. 5.0".

    It depends on what data the file contains. The extension (.DAT) is just a part of the file name.

    It appears that EXP 5.0 is the format for AX 2009. AX 2012 requires that the EXP 6.0 is used.

    I agree. The added details suggest that you're trying to import exported data from AX 2009, but that isn't the right approach. The data model isn't even the same.

    Use DIXF instead.
