Hi All,

I have a client on GP 2015 R2, 14.00.0817, using the web client. They receive the subject line message when trying to post a General ledger batch from the web client.

When they use the desktop client the journal posts normally.

This seems to indicate that all setups are correct. The web client user is a Full user and is setup as Power user.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to check to remedy this situation?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Geoff!

I have been researching the issue that your client is running into with Web Client. Unfortunately, this does appear to be related to known quality issue 86584. Currently we've found that this issue comes about if you have a UK code installed Dynamics DB, and a US code installed Company DB. The workaround steps are here:

    1.     Download the GP install media for the correct version that you're running.

    2.     Install a US installation of the code, as a separate instance from the UK code install.

    3.     Delete the MESSAGES table in the DYNAMICS db.

          DELETE DYNAMICS..MESSAGES

    4.     Set Synchronize=TRUE in the US code install, then run the US GP Utilities.

    5.     Launch the UK Dynamics GP, and log in. You’ll get a message about building messages.

    6.     Close  the UK install, and launch the US install. It will again build the messages.

    7.     Uninstall the US code instance.

    8.     As soon as that completes, log into Web Client and post a batch to test.
