Got one user being assigned roles automatically repeatedly

We have one user that keeps getting assigned "Customer service app access" and "Sales, Enterprise app access" several times throughout the day. In turn it is breaking a addon we use so i keep having to remove the roles from her. I know it is just happening to her because everyone uses this addon and noone else has complained. I have checked her user account both in CRM and in AAD and see nothing different about her account. She is a new but not the newest user.

We do have a function that runs a couple times a day to remove extra roles and other auto assigned roles from users. But if it was the fault of the function then there would be multiple users having the issue.

Why is only this one user being effected?

I am new to CRM and am just an administrator over CRM, so I am not a developer.

I dont know what else to check

I have the same question (0)

    Hey!

Whenever a user is added to Dynamics, they're added to a Business unit and a team associated to that BU.  If the Team associated to the BU has a Security role, the user inherits the security role.  This is one possibility.

Another possibility is that you have a plugin/workflow assigning/updating the security roles.

Also, there's a setting that if enabled, it can generate security roles to be automatically assigned depending on user license.  This is documented on docs.microsoft.com/.../assign-security-roles

Finally, if you still have some doubts for this particular user, you should definitively open a support request to Microsoft with this concern

yes sir, I understand how the hierarchy works. We generally give all roles at the team level and we currently don't use the 2 roles that are being auto assigned.

We do have a azure function that is updating roles and BU for everyone. But this function is removing all roles at the user level, not adding them.

I hadn't considered the license may be the issue. I will definitely check out the link you recommended!  thank you.

i have considered putting a ticket with Microsoft, and I may still end doing that.

I checked the license and she has the same license as everyone else.

    Hey.

Then probably you should open a request to Microsoft Customer Support.
