Create new Item ledger entries

Hi folk,

I would know if there is a reliable method to block the creation of new movements product in Item Ledger Entry table by Posting date.

Starting Posting Date would be defined by the manager.


The goal is control once month is closed, that no user is allowed to post in the past

Navision allows to inform posting period for each user, but If we set that date here, the user is not allowed to modify old open entries still in stock. What we need is just to allow / lock new entries in ITL accordind to a certain Posting Date.

Catching onInsert event in ILE would be a bad Idea? or even locate all de CDU that post in this ledger?

    NAV have a similar setup for all the transaction. In this setup it will only allow users to post transaction to that particular period.  To do that go to General Ledger Setup and in that you can specify the date period. This will block all the transactions which are posting outside of that open range.

    Sadly there is no setup to control Inventory posting as you requested.

    However you can control it by closing the inventory period. Refer this link to know about inventory period :
