HI @rp@n,
axrachit.blogspot.com/.../ax2012-adding-text-translations-to.html
Hi,
You can translate the product-related information into any language that is available from the Text translation form.
Then you can view translations of product-related information when the vendor/customer is the specific language.
Take a case, create a Chinese translation and then create a PO which language is Chinese. When print related document, then item name will be translated to Chinese. Please have a look at screenshots in D365FO below. For more information please refer to this linkage: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/translations-of-product-related-information
Thanks Mattguo,
I am working in Japan project. as per customer, they wants some new reports in Japanese language. Is this ( Translation language ) helpful for me?
Hi @rp@n,
For translating the description, product name and the sales infos 1 an d 2, this functionality will do the Japanese translation as long as you enter the correct Japanese signs/symbols.
Please have a look at the screenprints that Mattguo shared for D365FO.
In your AX2012 system things should look very much alike.
Best regards,
Ludwig
sorry not understansd
Whether it's helpful for you or not depends on what you actually need.
If you want to translate data such as product names, then it's helpful.
If you want to translate labels such as field names, then it's not going to help.
Hi Arpan,
Note that the product translations will only be used on the external documents. By default, the released product form will show the names in the language of the system language; not the user language.
Good morning @rp@n,
I noticed a couple of posts about Japanese specific language/report/... issues.
I am wondering whether it would make sense to get a local partner involved who could help you with the implementation of the country specific features and also take care of the language issues?
Hi Ludwig,
No, local partner involved. I only research in google to enable the country specific features for Japan . That part is done. Now the function consultant going to test the Japan features like tax etc.. with help of customers.
i absolutely new to "Translation language". how it will work and when to use?

There are some clear replies provided above. Are you able to understand it all? Where do you need more help/examples?
