    Hi,

If the Min qty is not available the system will take the re-order qty. Since in first line you have given multiple is 10 so it is showing  130.You have not mentioned the pending purchase orders in the subsequent level

The value is calculated based on the new demand you have on production orders, sales orders, ... it also depends on the properties of the item card (i.e. Min. Order, Max Order, Order Multiple, Reorder point)

For example in your first row, since you don't have inventory for that item it is suggesting 130 because min. you can order is  qty 125, but it should be order multiple of 10 so instead it calculated to 130 .

    Hi Harsh,

Are you running order planning window or planning worksheet because order planning doesn't consider the planning parameter and will suggest the quantity based on the order requirement.

    Hi All,

I was working on same purchase order (one and only one) to analyse the results

1st Case: Minimum Order is 125 and order multiple is 10.. So 130 is nearest multiple

2nd Case: Minimum Order is 126 and order multiple is 6.. So 126 is nearest multiple

3rd Case: Reorder Quantity = 100.. So 100 is ordered

4th Case: No reorder quantity, so error

Reorder point (ROP) is the point at which fresh order is made. Reorder Quantity (ROQ) is the lot quantity ordered.

Reorder point is 25. This means as soon as stock level reaches 25 a new order is made.

5th Case: ROQ 1 Lot of 26 is enough to exceed ROP

Similarly the following upto 10th Case

11th case onwards, the Min order is assured.

    Hope you understood

I tried the same cases myself to find the above solution

Here I am attaching the workings i noted down:

Reorder Point  Reorder Quantity  Min Order  Max Order  Order Multiple  Quantity Remarks
    1 25 100 125 250 10 130 Minimum Order is 125 and order multiple is 10.. So 130 is nearest multiple
    2 25 100 125 250 6 126 Minimum Order is 126 and order multiple is 6.. So 126 is nearest multiple
    3 25 100 0 0 0 100 Reorder Quantity = 100
4 25 0 0 0 0 ERR Reorder Quantity must have a value in Stockkeeping Unit. It cannot be zero or empty.
    5 25 26 0 0 0 26 1 Lot of 26 is enough to exceed ROP
    6 25 24 0 0 0 48 2 Lot of 24 is done to exceed ROP
    7 25 20 0 0 0 40 2 Lot of 20 is done to exceed ROP
    8 30 10 0 0 0 40 4 Lot of 10 is done to exceed ROP
    9 30 20 0 0 0 40 2 Lot of 20 is done to exceed ROP
    10 30 30 0 0 0 60 2 Lot of 30 is done to exceed ROP
    11 25 25 25 0 0 50 2 Lot of 25 is done to exceed ROP. Min Order is also covered
    12 25 25 24 0 0 50 2 Lot of 25 is done to exceed ROP. Min Order is also covered
    13 25 24 25 0 0 48 2 Lot of 24 is done to exceed ROP. Min Order is also covered
14 25 24 49 0 0 49 2 Lot of 24 is done to exceed ROP; But 1 more is required to cover Min Order.
    15 25 24 47 0 0 48 2 Lot of 24 is done to exceed ROP; Min Order is also covered
