However, this hotfix is ​​intended to fix only the issues described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this particular issue. This hotfix may undergo additional testing. Therefore, if you are not significantly affected by this issue, it is recommended that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics SL service pack that contains this hotfix.

It is solved after system restart and admin login to the system.. as i have mentioned there are no 2015/ 2017 existing installations. so we are not sure why the error had come. all good for now.
Richard is correct, let us know if that doesn't work for you or you cannot get Dynamics GP installed.

You need to uninstall Visual C++ 2015. Visual C++ 2017 will not install with Visual C++ 2015 installed. Your GP 2015 will continue to run.
