- Set up Configuration Provider in an ERP instance in Electronic Reporting (ER)
- Set up RCS and connect that to our ERP instance in ER
- Obtain Models from Microsoft Global RCS
- Manually by hand prepare application metadata, to use with the already created and provided Model from Microsoft Global RCS. Export as XML.
- Upload the prepared application metadata from the XML file (which looks a LOT like the work of creating a data model) to RCS.
- Derive and configure Data Models, Data model mappings, and Format configurations in RCS.
- Every time you want to test you have to complete the version in RCS, and import it into your ERP instance, then run the report and check our output.
- Repeat step 7 for all your edits to your template, which will be in the 100's of edits resulting in 100's of completed versions in RCS.
- When finally done you can then import your final RCS repository configuration into your production environment.
the new completed version of ER metadata configuration. You can then import it to RCS, and update the prerequisites of the configured model mapping configuration referring to a new version of imported metadata configuration./
