Dynamics NAV Server to SQL Cluster

Our current environment has a SQL Cluster Server/s for fail-over that runs on Windows Server 2008R2. We are installing NAV 2017 and cannot connect to the SQL Cluster. All suggestions are welcome. Thank you,

Do you mean that NAV server cannot connect to SQL? NAV Server is installed on a different machine? Are the two machines on the same network and reachable?

Hi Stefano, thank you for the response. Yes the servers are on the same network. NAV server cannot connect to the SQL Servers (Cluster with SQL2014).

So strange, are the parameters correct? Can you connect by using SSMS?

Yes, can connect from my machine on different subnet also. Just NAV that cannot see or connect to DB's.

Can you check the event viewer on the NAV server machine?

Does NAV 2017 version supports Windows Server 2008 R2, have you check the hardware & software requirement.

NAV 2017 version does not support 2008 R2. Will the NAV 2013 SQL components not work on 2008 R2?
