Local developer VM (10.0.28) takes a long time to refresh after the project is rebuild.

Hello.

I have performance issue with local development environment: every time I rebuild  project in visual studio, the session is refreshed (Application pool recycling) but the main page takes more then 2 minutes to load. In this time, CPU and Disk are not used, so nothing really happens in terms of performance. The main page is waiting for something, but I don't know what. I guess AX try to connect to some external service or something else.

I have downloaded from LCS the VHD for local development (version 10.0.24) and I've upgraded it to 10.0.28 but it behaves in the same way.

    After a build and IIS application pool is refreshed, yes, it can take some time to load D365.

    Please, take into consideration that all assemblies of D365 must be bootstrapped by IIS. 

    in a VM with DS13 V2, it can take about 40 seconds for the initial load after a build

    Hi,

    Are there any other tricks to speed up the IIS wait time after compilation? An awful lot of time goes from development to waiting for this. It's been 8 months since the first post, so if anyone knows of such options.

    Hello Horvath,

    You are quite alright, the wait time/ slowness sometimes also is a result of the Dev env. configuration.
